Turkish agricultural manufacturer Erkunt Traktor unveiled its latest orchard farming machinery, featuring the 95-horsepower Meyveci model and Hisarlar soil cultivation equipment, during the Bursa Agriculture Fair. The company highlighted engineered solutions designed to reduce fuel consumption, optimize field operational costs, and meet stringent Euro 5 emission standards for local growers.
Addressing the specific demands of fruit, olive, and vegetable producers in Bursa and adjacent agricultural regions, the company showcased multiple power configurations across its Meyveci lineup alongside the Kısmet 55 utility model. The showcase paired these tractors with specialized agricultural attachments manufactured by Hisarlar Tarım Makineleri to target regional soil tillage and maintenance requirements.
Engineered Solutions for Orchard Farming
Erkunt Traktor CEO Tolga Saylan stated that Bursa represents a vital agricultural production center requiring machinery adapted to regional cultivation conditions:
“Bursa has a wide production diversity ranging from fruit growing to olive cultivation, vegetable production, and different agricultural activities. This diversity also differentiates the needs of our farmers. In orchard farming in particular, engine power alone is not sufficient. Maneuverability, low fuel consumption, ease of use, and the selection of the correct equipment are also of great importance. We develop our products not at the desk, but based on the real needs of our farmers in the field.”
Saylan noted that the 95-horsepower Meyveci model was positioned as the primary solution for operations requiring higher tractive capacity, while alternative configurations address daily operational tasks:
“Our 95-horsepower Meyveci model offers our farmers an important option in orchard applications requiring high power. However, we know that the needs of every grower are not the same. For this reason, we include different power options in our Meyveci Series. With our Kısmet 55 model, we provide an economical and practical alternative for daily agricultural tasks. For us, what matters is not providing the highest power, but ensuring that our farmers select the tractor best suited to the work they do. Because the right tractor is one of the fundamental elements of productivity and profit in production.”
“Bursa is a very valuable region for us with its strong agricultural output and hardworking farmers. We do not view this fair merely as an event where we introduce our products. We want to come together with our farmers, listen directly to their needs, and evaluate the solutions we offer alongside them. As Erkunt Traktör, we draw our strength from the labor and productive determination of Turkish farmers. We will continue to develop solutions that ease our farmers’ work, consider their costs, and enhance their productivity. Because we know that the future of Turkish agriculture will be shaped by the strength of our productive farmers.”
Equipment Integration and Mechanical Efficiency
At the fair, Erkunt integrated equipment lines from Hisarlar Tarım Makineleri, presenting rotary tillers, cultivators, and inter-row cultivation implements calibrated for fruit orchards, olive groves, and open vegetable fields. The configuration focuses on harmonizing implement mechanical requirements with tractor power outputs to optimize fieldwork.
Emphasizing the importance of matching implement mechanics with tractor drivetrain performance, Saylan said:
“Efficiency in agriculture is not achieved solely through the power of the tractor. It is necessary to deploy that power with the correct equipment, at the right time, and for the right task. With Hisarlar Agricultural Machinery, we provide this integrity to our farmers. Through our solutions answering different needs from soil preparation to orchard maintenance, we aim to facilitate our growers’ work and contribute to time and fuel savings. We do not merely offer tractors and equipment. We develop solutions that help our farmers produce more efficiently.”
Euro 5 Standards and Total Cost of Ownership
The company continues development on engine architectures compliant with Euro 5 emission standards—technical regulations limiting toxic vehicle exhaust emissions—aiming to lower operational expenditures over the lifecycle of the machinery. Erkunt Traktor supports its domestic engine production with a five-year manufacturer warranty to offset maintenance overheads.
Highlighting total cost of ownership alongside upfront retail pricing, Saylan said:
“Today, a tractor is not merely a machine for our farmers, but an important investment made in the future of their production. Therefore, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and after-sales services are just as decisive as the purchase price. We want our farmers to feel secure not only when buying their tractor, but throughout the years they use it. The 5-year warranty we offer on our domestically produced engines is a concrete demonstration of this approach. Because for us, trust is a responsibility that begins with the sale and continues after it. As Erkunt, we stand behind our products and continue to stand beside our farmers.”
